Ratan Tata’s Early life & Education
During the British Raj on 28 December 1937, Ratan Tata was born in Bombay and is the son of Naval Tata (born in Surat). His maternal grandmother had been Hirabai Tata’s sister, group founder Jamsetji Tata’s wife. His grandfather, Hormusji Tata, was from the broader Tata family; Ratan hence, was a Tata by birth.
