Arijit Singh is an Indian playback singer, born on April 25, 1987, in Jiaganj, Murshidabad, West Bengal, India. He started his musical journey at a very young age and began receiving formal training in Indian classical music from his maternal grandmother. He later went on to receive training from Birendra Prasad Hazari, who was a music teacher at a music school in his hometown.

Arijit started his career as a participant in a reality TV show called Fame Gurukul in 2005, where he emerged as the sixth finalist. However, his breakthrough came with the song “Tum Hi Ho” from the film Aashiqui 2 (2013). The song became an instant hit and won him several awards, including the Filmfare Award for Best Male Playback Singer.

Since then, Arijit has sung for numerous Bollywood films and has become one of the most sought-after playback singers in the Indian film industry.
