Story:

KGF 2 kick-starts where the first part ended. After finishing off Garuda, Rocky( Yash) takeovers the goldmine empire KGF and starts expanding his business network. In his journey, Rocky faces a tough challenge in the form of Adheera( Sanjay Dutt). How will Rocky face off with Adheera? What is the role of a powerful politician, aka the Indian Prime Minister Ramika Sen’s role (Raveena Tandon) with the entire setup forms the crucial crux of the film?

KGF Chapter 2 Movie Analysis:

Hirav Shah says, “Just like in the first part, director Prashant Neel predominantly focused on the hero elevation episodes at regular intervals in the narrative. He has done a fabulous job in executing the film without any boring moments. The confrontation episodes between Rocky and Adheera are executed on a proper note and are a treat to watch on screen. The same is the case with the scenes related to Raveena Tandon’s role as the Indian Prime Minister.

Though Prashant Neel worked on writing enough hero-centric elevation scenes, he would have focused on exploring the depth of Adheera’s character as it lacks proper detailing. Adding to it, the pace of the film drops a bit in the second half, with could have been avoided. KGF 2 is a high voltage action drama that has enough action sequences and heroism elevation episodes in it. KGF2 will satisfy the moviegoers who are eagerly waiting to watch a proper action Dhamaka on screen.”

Speaking about the performances, Shah points out that Yash just nailed it with his terrific performance and unleashes his amazing screen presence throughout the film. Be it his attitude or stylish mannerisms, Yash leaves an impact with his effortless acting. The way he carried the suits and formal shirts in the film is nice and even looks fit on the screen.

Hirav Shah adds, “Raveena Tandon gets a meaty role as a powerful politician, and the talented actress did her job quite convincingly.

Sanjay Dutt’s get-up as Adheera is good, but his character lacks a solid impact. Though the confrontation episodes between Rocky and Adheera are good, Sanjay Dutt’s age factor comes as a minus for the role.

Heroine Srinidhi Shetty got a better screen space in KGF2 compared to the first part, and the young actress is okay with her performance. Other actors such as Rao Ramesh, Prakash Raj, Malavika Avinash, and Saran Shakti are impressive in their extended cameo roles.

Hirav Shah says, “Music by Ravi Basrur is a backbone for the film as the re-recording breathes life to the film and all the elevation scenes on Rocky. Audio-wise, the film has all situational songs that are passable on screen.

Bhuvan Gowda’s cinematography is top-notch as he presented the film superbly with his framing. The lighting setup created to showcase the dark shades in the movie is impressive. The editing by Ujwal Kulkarni is good as the film has hardly any unwanted scenes.

Production values for this high-budget actioner are rich. Production design and the entire premises created to showcase Rocky’s KGF are good.”

Hirav Shah concludes by saying, “To wrap up, KGF Chapter 2 is an action-packed drama that has enough mass and hero elevation episodes at regular intervals. While Yash is stunning and lived in the title role and carried the film with his screen presence, Prashant Neel’s execution and writing part make this actioner a must-watch movie.”
