Starring Jitendra Kumar, Raghuvir Yadav, and Neena Gupta in prominent roles, the second season of Panchayat is ready for its premiere on Amazon Prime Video on May 20. While the first season showcased the journey of Abhishek, an engineering graduate, who joined the panchayat office in Phulera as a secretary, we have to wait and see what the second season is going to offer to the viewers.
4) Tirsaat
Mangesh Shendage and Pradeep Tonge jointly direct Tirsaat. Starring Niraj Suryakant and Tejaswini Shirke in key roles, Tirsaat is a Marathi film. As per the promos, the film tells the story of a young couple willing to face anything to save their love and end up together. Set in a rural background, the film is slated to hit the screens on May 20.

Starring Bharath CV, Siri Ravikumar, Rekha Kudligi, Jayalaxmi Patil, and others in prominent roles, Sakutumba Sametha is a Kannada film that showcases issues in a joint family. Directed by Rahul PK, this family drama bankrolled by Rakshit Shetty is ready for a theatrical release on May 20, 2022.
Hirav Shah says, “Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 and Dhaakad are two films that complement each other nicely at the cinemas because both cater to a different set of audiences. Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 is a family entertainer with a dash of comedy and horror. Dhaakad, on the other hand, is a mass action entertainer. These two demographics are huge among movie-going people, and I am confident that these two films will simultaneously pull people back to theatres in fairly large numbers.”
Hirav Shah adds that BB2 is an Anees Bazmee film, and the audience already knows that they will have fun in the cinema halls. The pairing of Kartik Aarayna and Kiara Advani will also pull the youth in large numbers. Shah predicts that the film should open around Rs 8-10 crore. On the other hand, Dhaakad is a costly film. These days, action films are doing quite well, and the awareness level around the film is decent. Hirav Shah predicts that Dhaakad can open anywhere in Rs 3 crore plus range.
Hirav Shah concludes by saying, “If both Dhaakad and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 get a negative response, KGF 2 will dominate again. But it may not happen. KGF is in its sixth week; the film is out on OTT, so Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 will have a good start.”
