Growing up, we constantly heard the name, Michael Jackson. You might not recognize his face, and you might not know his songs, but the name MJ always rings a bell. Wherever you are, whatever race you might belong to, or whatever age you might be rocking right now, the name Michael Jackson lives in our general consciousness rent-free.
That’s the legacy Michael Jackson fosters.
Commonly known as the king of pop, Michael is no less than a modern icon worshipped by many. His dance moves and melodious voice still serve as an aphrodisiac to an entire millennium. He was in the public’s eye 24 hour*7. So, his every moment was scrutinized and picked apart with minute precision. An inspiration to many, Michael spread the message of peace of love and taught the world many lessons.
Michael Joseph Jackson was born on August 29, 1958, in Gary, Indiana. From the get-go, Michael was destined to become a star and entertain the legions of people. With a career spanning over 4-decades, his contribution to the music industry has been insane. Dubbed as the most significant person of the 20th century, Michael is nothing less than a God in popular culture. He is the most awarded music artist in history.
Unfortunately, on June 25, 2009, less than 3 weeks before the first ‘This Is It’ show, with all concerts sold out, Jackson suffered a fatal cardiac arrest and passed away. The world observed mass mourning on the death of the celebrated music artist.

Remembering the legacy of legendary singer, dancer, and pop icon; eminent Astro strategist Hirav Shah brings you Michael Jackson’s 2- mantras to success:
Change starts from you:
“I’m starting with the man in the mirror
I’m asking him to change his ways
And no message could’ve been any clearer
If they wanna make the world a better place
Take a look at yourself and then make a change”
I vividly remember these lyrics from the popular MJ song ‘Man in the mirror’. The song itself is very introspective, almost like a monologue. Through this song, Michael is telling people to stop waiting for a messiah to step in and change the world for the better. It replicates the bitter truth that no one will help the world. You have to step in and take the plunge. The right way to change the world is by bringing the change in yourself, and for that to happen you need to sit down, retrospect, and find ways to be better versions of yourself.
Perfect your craft
Michael aspired to be perfect in every mission that he took on. Sometimes almost to be a point of fallacy. But if you think hard, there is no concrete evidence of what can be or can’t be coined as ‘perfect’. So, what exactly is perfect? If I had to describe perfection, it’s Michael’s performance in ‘smooth criminal’ or his vocals in ‘Billie Jean’.
I don’t know what perfection is, but if there is a definition for one, Michael is the epitome of perfection in my eyes. He always strived towards pushing his limits as a performer. He was determined to deliver beyond anyone’s expectation, and we can’t admire him any more for that.
An once-in-a-lifetime artist, Michael was the epitome of compassion, excruciating talent, and determination. Gone too soon from the world, Michael is mourned, every moment on earth. Even after his death, his relevance and legacy live on. Over the years, Michael has transformed himself from a popular name to an emotion. An emotion that we are going to cherish forever- concludes Business development expert Hirav Shah.
