Story of Sarkaru Vaari Paata :
Being a Vizag-based rich politician’s daughter Keerthy(Keerthy Suresh), a casino addict traps a private loan lending company owner Mahesh ( Mahesh Babu) in the US and takes $10K from him. After a brief time, Mahesh comes to know that Keerthy cheated on him. Later, Mahesh lands in Vizag to recover $10K from Keerthy’s father, Rajendranath (Samuthirakani), a rich politician. Will Rajendranath pay back the amount lent by her daughter to Mahesh? Hirav Shah’s Analysis of Sarkaru Vaari Paata:
Director Parasuram’s idea of showcasing a money-related social issue by incorporating enough commercial elements in the narrative is appreciatable, but he would have focused on writing a gripping screenplay to make things more appealing. While the director succeeded in presenting Mahesh Babu in an energetic avatar, his uneven scene order is a big letdown for the movie.
The entire first half proceedings run on a flat note with a few good moments in the lead pair’s track, but most of the proceedings look silly. For instance, being a loan lending company owner, Mahesh blindly believes the silly stories narrated by Keerthy, which literally dilute the interest of the audience.
On-screen performances of Mahesh Babu :
Mahesh Babu is the main attraction of the movie. He just nailed it with his screen presence and energetic performance throughout the film. He carried this regular commercial drama with his screen presence, and I was impressed with his amazing and flexible dialogue delivery. His dance movements in the Ma Ma Mahesha song are a surprise package for the film.
Keerthy Suresh is cute with her makeover looks, and her chemistry with Mahesh adds an advantage to the first-half proceedings. The love track between the lead pair in the first half has enjoyable moments for fans.
Samuthirakani is apt in his role as a corrupt politician. The mass audience will like his confrontation episodes with Mahesh in the second half. Comedian Vennela Kishore is okay in his hero’s sidekick role. Actress Nadiya is okay in her purposeful extended role.
Technical Department of Sarkaru Vaari Paata :
Music by Thaman is superb as all the songs are superhit audio-wise and even more engaging on screen. His background score elevates a couple of heroic scenes and action blocks in both halves.
Madhi’s cinematography is top-notch as he showcased the entire film on a lavish note with his framing and lighting texture. Editing by Marthand K Venkatesh is good. The artwork department did a commendable job as all the bank sets are erected nicely.
Hirav Shah concludes by saying, “To wrap up, Sarkaru Vaari Paata is a regular commercial drama that lacks a solid screen presence from Mahesh. Though Mahesh fans will love the hero’s screen presence and his dialogue delivery, regular template presentation comes as a major defect for the film. If Mahesh continues to do films like SVP, even Tollywood would not be able to afford him.”
