Entertainment is a part of Indian lives. For the past few decades, the filmmakers have been releasing films during festival weekends to grab the attention of the audience. Post-pandemic, moviegoers have become really selective in watching films, and it is well-established news.
Veteran Bollywood Analyst cum Business Transformation Expert Hirav Shah says, “Bollywood’s superstars and filmmakers have always aimed to release their movies on festival weekends. Many top actors have managed to slot their films for a Diwali, Eid, Christmas release and, consequently, received an overwhelming response by attracting crowds in larger numbers.
While Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan are known for their Diwali and Christmas releases, none can beat Salman Khan when it comes to launching films on Eid.”
Hirav Shah adds, “Since the 1990s, Eid has turned out to be a peak business time for Indian movies. Apart from the Khans of Bollywood releasing their movies on the auspicious festival, many other films have opened on Eid in the last couple of years and emerged as blockbusters like Beta, Anari, Judwaa, Chennai Express, and others.”
For the upcoming weekend, a couple of films and shows are gearing up for a release. Now,
