Saina Nehwal is a former world no.1, who has won 24 international titles including ten Superseries titles. She reached the world’s 2nd rank in 2009, and in 2015, she was able to attain the world no. 1 ranking. She is the only female player from India and overall the second Indian player – after Prakash Padukone – to attain this extraordinary feat.

Daughter of Harvir Singh Nehwal and Usha Rani Nehwal, Saina Nehwal was born in Hisar. Saina has an elder sister named Chandranshu Nehwal.
Saina finished her first few years of schooling at Campus School CCS HAU, Hisar. She completed 12th standard from the St. Ann’s College for Women, Hyderabad.
When her father got transferred to Hyderabad post a promotion, Saina

Ace badminton player Saina Nehwal attained the World No. 1 ranking in 2015. She is the only female player from India and second only to Prakash Padukone to achieve this feat.
Saina Nehwal is also the first-ever Indian badminton player to clinch an Olympic medal. In her career, Nehwal has won several international and national titles, including Padma Bhushan, Major Dhyan Chand Khel Ratna and the Arjuna Award.
