1.Incorrect Playing Eleven- Let’s first look at the MI Squad below.

2. Weak Bowling Attack
It would not be wrong to say that Jasprit Bumrah is the only world class bowler in the Mumbai arsenal. And he too has failed here. Yes, he has taken only 4 wickets in the 5 matches so far.
Others like Jayadev Unadkat (1/44 in 4 overs), Basil Thampi (2/47 in 4 overs) and Tymal Mills (0/37 in 4 overs) were wayward and super expensive in the match with Punjab Kings on Wednesday.
MI doesn’t have a single bowler, who is in the top 14 highest wicket-takers of this season, so far. Only Tymal Mills is in 15th position, with 6 wickets in 4 matches.
3. Terrible Batting Order
The middle order is literally struggling. It has become brittle.
Kieron Pollard is struggling big time. He has been woefully out of form and has scores of 3, 22, 22*, 0 and 10 in the five matches so far.
There is hardly any impact player in the Mumbai Indians middle order, except for Suryakumar Yadav. Barring Brevis, Suryakumar has been the only other bright spot in the Mumbai batting so far. But, Suryakumar had to miss the first two matches due to injury.
Tilak Verma, the 19-year-old batting all-rounder has looked okay in phases, but needs to be consistent.
Suryakumar Yadav and Ishan Kishan and are among the top 10 highest run-getters of the IPL and yet MI is without a single win. That goes to show the terrible batting order and hence terrible form displayed by the rest of the team so far.
