5 Bollywood Movie Touched Infidelity Concept Before Gehraiyaan

Gehraiyaan starring Deepika Padukone, Siddhant Chaturvedi, and Ananya Panday, had its direct to digital release on Amazon Prime Video on February 11th. This Shakun Batra directional has been all over the news ever since the trailer of the film was released. To simplify, the film talks about complex modern relationships and highlights the issue of infidelity in relationships.

In the film, Taapsee’s character Rani gets into an extramarital affair with Neel, played by Harshvardhan Rane, after getting married to Vikrant Massey’s character Rishabh. The romantic thriller was released on an OTT platform in 2021 on Netflix.

Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna

Noted filmmaker Karan Johar dealt with the delicate and most intricate topic of infidelity in his film ‘Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna’ in a convincing manner. In the film, Shah Rukh Khan’s character Dev and Rani Mukerji’s character Maya get into an extramarital affair. The film also stars Preity Zinta and Abhishek Bachchan in the other lead roles.

Senior director David Dhawan’s ‘Biwi No 1’ starring Salman Khan, Karisma Kapoor, and Sushmita Sen in the lead role was also a film that touched upon the subject of infidelity. Salman, who is happily married to Karisma with two kids in the film, falls in love with Sushmita and starts an extramarital affair with her. The family drama received much love and appreciation from the North belt audience.
