John Gray, the celebrated author of the book Men are from Mars and Women are from Venus, wouldn’t have imagined for a second that there would come a man whose target is to go to Mars one day.

In fact, the man, Elon Musk envisions a future of inter-planetary movement for human beings. “You want to wake up in the morning and think the future is going to be great – and that’s what being a space-faring civilization is all about. It’s about believing in the future and thinking that the future will be better than the past. And I can’t think of anything more exciting than going out there and being among the stars.”

And for a man whose character has inspired the Iron Man series, Mars is his final destination, at least for now. Now, man has long wanted to land on the moon — which he did. Research has been going on for quite a few years about launching robots on Mars, but here is Elon Musk who wants more than that. He wants humans to think really big and plan for their interstellar lifestyle some time in future.

The eccentric boss of SpaceX and Tesla Motors has ideas that a top B-school would still call a lame ‘out-of-the-box’ idea. But Elon Musk is no simple innovator or entrepreneur. He has ideas that have shattered the hitherto conservative ideas about science. He put his own ingenious spin to all his enterprises and Hyperloop is one of his babies. Test-drived days back, Hyperloop is a sealed tube or system of tubes with low air pressure through which a pod may travel substantially free of air resistance or fiction. The idea behind Hyperloop is to transport people or objects at airline or hypersonic speeds while being energy efficient compared to existing high-speed rail systems.

Coming to conservation, his Tesla motors have been disruptive in the automobile industry. Even as other tech giants were checking out self-driven cars, Elon Musk did a first by bringing out electric cars, primarily as an answer for fuel-efficient cars and reduced emissions world-over. For now, Elon Musk keeps his automobiles off limits of ordinary car owners, but one never knows what future holds for electric automobiles.

Elon Musk bought over Tesla, renamed it Tesla Motors, pumped in $80 million and became its CEO. He fired most of the staff and hired those that saw his vision as theirs. Musk has also successfully positioned himself as a sole player in the market and is now making Tesla Roadster 2.0 which is the world’s fastest car ever. In fact, during his visit to the US, Prime Minister Modi too visited his facility to have first-hand info on Musk’s product line-up. When he bought Tesla, the product was written as too costly and unmanageable in the commercial market. Breaking barriers as always, Elon Musk has proved his distractors wrong.

Elon Musk, the man who is known to catch a wink under tables in office, firmly believes in hard work as the mantra for success and trying out his out of the world ideas.

But Musk, like many successful and famous people, came from humble beginnings in south Africa. During childhood, he showed no signs of his ingenuity, but was known as a boy who would read books even at parties.

After having moved to Canada in search of a better life, Musk got into the prestigious Stanford University to get a PhD in applied physics. However, he dropped out on the second day to start a company and that’s how Zip2 happened. Four years later, he sold the company to Compaq for $307 million in cash and $34 million in stock. Later, he started X.com which went on to become Paypal where he got fired as CEO. Later, ebay bought the company for $1.25 billion and Elon Must made $165 million from the deal.
Similarly, SpaceX was no success story to begin with. After three failed attempts, he managed to launch a private spacecraft to the International Space Station. In fact, not one to be bogged down, Elon Musk taught himself rocket science, just as he taught himself programming.

Well, this surely shows his strong resolve and proves that he is not one born to do smaller things. In an interview, Musk is said to have famously said, “My mentality is that of a samurai. I would rather commit seppuku (kill himself), than fail.”

And it is this strong-will that makes a man like Elon Musk opines astro-strategist Hirav Shah.

Today, the 49-year-old born on June 28, 1971 is the world’s second richest man in the world, just behind Jeff Bezos of Amazon.
And like all mavericks, he has little shortcomings, Elon Musk is said to be a stutterer, but when one is as successful as him, it is just a small blemish on his repertoire.

Astro Strategist and Business Astrologer Hirav Shah opines that it is this never-giving attitude of his that has put him where he is and pushes him to take on bigger and more boisterous projects without blinking even once.

Positioned at a net worth of $128 billion after his Tesla shares surged, Elon Musk, the man who works 80-100 hours and barely sleeps is indeed someone who ‘never gives up’. No dream is big for the hi-profile entrepreneur and he has many more goals to reach, opines Hirav Shah.
