Each and every cell in our body is made up of what we eat and give our body, to nurture, maintain and keep it healthy.

So we should be very careful what we eat as it decides the future of each & every cell, tissue, organ & organ system. But unfortunately, either we do not have time to eat right or we are not getting the right options- Opines Thought Leader Hirav Shah.

Classification of Food

1.Sattvik food (Food with Positive Vibes)

Food which is in natural state as provided by nature like fresh fruits, vegetables, milk, honey and cooked food which contains only required amount of spices, oil and other ingredients including fresh vegetables, pulses, legumes etc and not overburdened with oil, spices and ingredients. It is light on the digestive system.

Effects of eating Sattvik Food

A person who eats Sattvic meals feels more energetic, as less energy is consumed by the digestive system to digest & absorb and good vibrations uplift your mood and eventually help your body to keep healthy. Sattvic meals do not cause laziness or lethargy.

2.Rajsik Food ( Food which gives passionate vibes)

Food which is not fresh and highly refined comes under this category. Be it highly refined cereals, grains, oil and cooked food which is very spicy, oily, pungent in taste and usually contains meat. As it is sourced from nature, but refining takes away the goodness provided by nature, and meat is sourced after killing of animals, poultry or fish that does contain negative vibes with more chances of any infection due to heavy metals, preservatives and chemicals given to animals.

Effects of eating Rajsik Food

Anyone consuming such a diet can become self centred, passionate for extreme human emotions like greed, anger, lust, jealousy, depression, high blood pressure etc . You can easily check the same among the people who eat lots of such food.

3. Tamasic Food ( Food with negative vibes)

Food which is full of meat or non vegetarian content, contains stimulants like caffeine ( in tea & coffee), tobacco, alcohol and stale food.

Effects of Tamasic Food

This kind of food will make you lethargic, full of anger with extreme emotions, sleeping disorders, ignorance, selfishness etc.

Now you know if you eat Sattvik, Rajasic or Tamasic food, you will develop similar traits as described above, and we are sure nobody likes negative traits.

Everybody needs to re-think as far as food is concerned, if you want to make this world a better place to live… Tells Renowned Thought Guru Hirav Shah.

These are not just food choices, but building blocks for our future and health. In Ayurveda, food is considered as the best medicine, and it is said-

If your food is right, you do not need any medicine and if your food is not right, no medicine will be able to cure you

Hirav Shah’s Tips While Eating

  • One needs to eat food calmly, chewing it properly and in a distraction free environment, so that you can focus on what you are eating and feel the taste & connection.
  • It is a very good practice to show the Attitude of Gratitude towards the Almighty because of whom we are getting healthy, nutritious and hygienic meals as there are millions who do not get even one.
  • Please do not waste food as it is one of the most precious gifts of mother Earth and it takes a few months in the process of sowing seeds, growing it and finally arriving at your lunch/dinner plate. Even if you have plenty of money to buy more & more food, please do not waste it.

Final Thoughts

Try to keep a good relationship with food. A good relationship with food involves having unconditional permission to eat the foods that make you feel good physically and mentally. No foods are off-limits, and you feel no guilt upon eating foods that are typically labeled “good” or “bad.”

Having a good relationship with food isn’t something you can achieve overnight. Rather, it’s something that you’ll likely have to work on your entire life — just as you’d work on a relationship with your partner, friend, or any other meaningful person in your life.

Remember that you are the expert of you and what may work well for someone else may not work for you. Aim to listen closely to what your body tells you and most importantly provide your body with the respect and nourishment that it deserves.“-Concludes Opinion Leader & Astro-Strategist, Hirav Shah.
